The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy Reichert

This book!! I love, LOVE this book! It is about a chef and a food critic who brings down her restaurant. Their chance meeting turns into a yummy romance. I wanted to make this book last forever.  I savored every word just as I would savor every bite of coconut cake. Amy's words form the cake. And the story as a whole is the yummy frosting on top. Amy could write a hundred books and I would drop everything to read them. I may even quit my job just to be able to sit and read her delicious words. If you haven't already, you should get this book and read it. This book will leave you smiling and probably a little hungry for some coconut cake! I promise you that you will fall in love with Lou and Al.

A new Karina Halle book!!!

I have had the privilege of meeting the amazingly talented Karina Halle. I have LOVED every single one of her books!  My favorite so far is Love, In English.  That book took me on a journey I never thought I wanted to go on.  So, every time she releases a new book I feel like it is Christmas morning. The Offer was just released and I cannot wait to dive into it! I have heard some, uh, rather sexy things about Bram!

21 Stolen Kisses by Lauren Blakely

This book was truly beautiful. I never thought just kissing could be so erotic and hot.  Most people just think of kissing as foreplay. Maybe kiss a few minutes then get on with the main show.  But this book was written so well, it had me feeling like kissing could be the main act. This book was so different because it wasn't hot because there was sizzling sex. It was hot in its own erotic way. It was hot because I felt like all I ever needed in life was a hot guy who could kiss me for the rest of my life.

Rating Books

One of the funnest things to do after I finish a book is giving it a rating. I have to admit, I am a very picky reader. I save my 5 star ratings for the books that I can't out down, literally.  I remember plenty of times I could vaguely hear my kids yelling at me to fix them something to eat. While glued to my book, I would mumble something like "Ok, in a minute!"  Even though I knew I wasn't putting this book down in just a minute. It may be hours until I get my butt off of the couch to tend to my family. This book needs me! These characters need me!!  If I give a book 5 starts that means it basically blew my mind, unable to start another book for days. Even days later I still think about the book and even get a little sad knowing the book is over. What keeps me moving on is the thought that there may be another 5 star book waiting for me on my kindle. I read almost all of my books on my kindle. But when I come across a 5 star book, I will immediately buy it in paperback and put it in my bookcase and treasure it forever!

Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren

The Beautiful Series by Christina Lauren is my most favorite series ever! All of the books are so damn sexy and funny as hell. This book is by far my favorite out of the series.  Niall was married to his ex-wife for 11 years. He had been lonely and unhappy until he met Ruby. There are many embarrassing scenes for Niall as he "adjusts" to dating again. This book was amazing! So amazing that I bought not only ONE paperback but TWO paperbacks. Because really, two Nialls are better than one!

The Contradiction of Solitude by Meredith Walters

Wow! This amazing book had my head spinning and I loved it! I kept thinking "What the hell?  What the freak is going on?" I love that I had no idea what was going on and kept questioning my sanity. I couldn't wait to finish the book and figure out what the hell was going on but at the same time I never wanted it to end because it was such an amazing book!  This was another book that I immediately bought a signed copy of!

A Stone in the Sea by A.L. Jackson

While I was reading this book, I kept thinking "How does AL Jackson do this? How can she take a few words, make them into sentences that completely pull me into the book?"  She is amazing, period. She has an amazing talent of creating an amazing story that makes you feel like you are there and you are a part of these characters lives. I was completely pulled into this book and never came up for air. I still think about this book and wish I could experience it for the first time again.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Seriously!  Look at this cover! Who wouldn't want to buy this book and stare at the cover! This book was so good and very refreshing! I had just finished reading a very dark book so this book was just what I needed! It was hot and oh so funny! I love the developing relationship between Hannah and Garrett. Who doesn't want a sexy hockey player!? I have recommended this book to all of my book friends who need a good laugh with some sexiness thrown in!

The Force of Gravity by Kelly Stevenson

This book was sexy as hell! Who doesn't love a forbidden student/teacher love story?  This book was so well written I was unable to even put the book down to feed my family or take a shower. I was hooked from the beginning and quickly fell in love with Mr.Slate. They say never judge a book by it's cover but this cover is what drew me in to buy the book. After reading the book, I immediately contacted Kelly and told her "Help!! I need a signed paperback right now!!!"  This book now sits proudly on my shelf of favorite books!

You by Caroline Kepnes

This is the first non-romance book I have ever read.  I always go straight to the sexy and hot books. So, to say I was a little apprehensive about reading this book was an understatement. But, to my surprise I was hooked by the very first chapter. I knew immediately that this book was going to be a 5 star read for me.  I knew it instantly.  This book was creepy and weird but in a very good way. I fell in love with Joe and his stalkerish ways. Team Joe!
